The Clemco Muffler Rain Cap (Part #20829) is a protective weather-guard fitting designed to install onto the exhaust outlet of blast pot mufflers and bulk blast machine exhaust piping.Featuring a weighted, self-closing hinged flapper cap, it automatically opens during machine depressurization to vent exhaust air and noise, then instantly snaps shut when airflow stops.This prevents rain, ambient moisture, sand, and job-site debris from entering the muffler body, exhaust valve, and internal air lines during outdoor operation or storage, protecting internal components from corrosion and abrasive clogging.

• Primary Function: Prevents rain, snow, debris, and abrasive dust from falling into the exhaust muffler pipe when the system is depressurized, eliminating water pooling inside the exhaust valve body and preventing internal rusting or premature muffler clogging.
• Operation: Counterbalanced flapper design opens automatically from internal exhaust air pressure during system depressurization/blow-down and falls shut immediately when airflow stops.
