The MontiPower® Bristle Blaster® Subsea is a specialized, hydraulically driven surface preparation tool engineered for underwater operation by commercial divers and Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROVs). It removes marine growth, heavy corrosion, coatings, and weld slag underwater while generating an anchor profile equivalent to dry grit blasting.

• Power Source: Hydraulically driven via an underwater hydraulic power unit (HPU) or topside hydraulic supply.
• Operating Depth: Suitable for deepwater operations (tested down to 2,000+ meters / 6,500+ feet).
• Surface Finish: Restores surfaces to Sa 2.5 / NACE No. 2 (Near-White Metal) quality.
• Anchor Profile: Generates a surface roughness profile up to 2.0–3.5 mils ($50\text{–}90\ \mu\text{m}$) on carbon steel for optimal underwater coating adhesion.
• Hydraulic Requirements:
• Operating Flow: ~15–20 L/min (4–5.3 GPM)
• Max Operating Pressure: 2,100 PSI (145 bar)
• Safety & Ergonomics: Counterbalanced housing with safety-throttle deadman control lever to reduce diver fatigue in high-current conditions.
